Tatian the Assyrian

c. 120 – 180 · Early Apologists · Syriac

Disciple of Justin Martyr; composed the Diatessaron (a harmony of the four Gospels widely used in the Syriac-speaking churches) and the Address to the Greeks. Later turned to encratism and left mainstream Christianity, but his Address remains an important apologetic text.
