TextA−AA+Bookmarks0← JobChapter 24Job 24:1¹ But why have the seasons been hidden from the Lord,Job 24:1Job 24:2² While the ungodly have passed over the bound,Job 24:2Job 24:3³ They have led away the ass of the fatherless,Job 24:3Job 24:4⁴ They have turned aside the weak from the right way:Job 24:4Job 24:5⁵ And they have departed like asses in the field,Job 24:5Job 24:6⁶ They have reaped a field that was not their own before the time:Job 24:6Job 24:7⁷ They have caused many naked to sleep without clothes,Job 24:7Job 24:8⁸ They are wet with the drops of the mountains:Job 24:8Job 24:9⁹ They have snatched the fatherless from the breast,Job 24:9Job 24:10¹⁰ And they have wrongfully caused [others] to sleep without clothing,Job 24:10Job 24:11¹¹ They have unrighteously laid wait in narrow places,Job 24:11Job 24:12¹² Who have cast forth [the] poor from the city and their own houses,Job 24:12Job 24:13¹³ Why then has he not visited these?Job 24:13Job 24:14¹⁴ But having known their works, he delivered them into darkness:Job 24:14Job 24:15¹⁵ And the eye of the adulterer has watched [for] the darkness,Job 24:15Job 24:16¹⁶ In darkness he digs through houses:Job 24:16Job 24:17¹⁷ For the morning is to them all [as] the shadow of death,Job 24:17Job 24:18¹⁸ He is swift on the face of the water:Job 24:18Job 24:19¹⁹ [Let them be] withered upon the earth;Job 24:19Job 24:20²⁰ Then is his sin brought to remembrance,Job 24:20Job 24:21²¹ For he has not treated the barren woman well,Job 24:21Job 24:22²² And in wrath he has overthrown the helpless:Job 24:22Job 24:23²³ When he has fallen sick, let him not hope to recover: but let him perish by disease.Job 24:23Job 24:24²⁴ For his exaltation has hurt many;Job 24:24Job 24:25²⁵ But if not, who is he that says I speak falsely,Job 24:25← Chapter 23Chapter 25 →
