¹ A Song of Degrees.

² How he swore to the Lord,

Ps 131:2

Ps 131:3

³ I will not go into the tabernacle of my house;

⁴ I will not give sleep to mine eyes,

Ps 131:4

Ps 131:5

⁵ Until I find a place for the Lord,

Ps 131:5

⁶ Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah;

⁷ Let us enter into his tabernacles:

⁸ Arise, O Lord, into thy rest;

⁹ Thy priests shall clothe themselves with righteousness;

¹⁰ For the sake of thy servant David

Ps 131:10

Ps 131:11

¹¹ The Lord swore [in] truth to David, and he will not annul it, [saying],

¹² If thy children will keep my covenant,

¹³ For the Lord has elected Zion,

¹⁴ This is my rest forever:

¹⁵ I will surely bless her provision:

¹⁶ I will clothe her priests with salvation;

¹⁷ There will I cause to spring up a horn to David:

¹⁸ His enemies will I clothe with shame;
