Sixth bishop of Antioch (from c. 169). His three books To Autolycus expound the Christian doctrine of God, the soul, and the prophets, addressed to a pagan friend. The earliest writer to apply the word "Trinity" (Triás) to the Father, Word, and Wisdom.
