Pr 23:4

⁵ If thou shouldest fix thine eye upon him, he will disappear;

Pr 23:5

⁶ Sup not with an envious man,

Pr 23:6

Pr 23:8

⁹ Say nothing in the ears of a fool,

Pr 23:9

¹¹ For the Lord is their redeemer;

Pr 23:11

¹² Apply thy heart to instruction,

Pr 23:12

¹³ Refrain not from chastening a child;

Pr 23:13

¹⁴ For thou shalt beat him with the rod,

Pr 23:14

¹⁵ Son, if thy heart be wise,

Pr 23:15

¹⁶ And thy lips shall converse with my lips,

Pr 23:16

¹⁷ Let not thy heart envy sinners:

Pr 23:17

¹⁸ For if thou shouldest keep these things, thou shalt have posterity;

Pr 23:18

¹⁹ Hear, [my] son, and be wise,

Pr 23:19

²⁰ Be not a wine bibber,

Pr 23:20

²¹ For every drunkard and whoremonger shall be poor;

Pr 23:21

²² Hearken, [my] son, to thy father which begot thee,

Pr 23:22

²⁴ A righteous father brings up [his children] well;

Pr 23:24

²⁵ Let thy father and thy mother rejoice over thee,

Pr 23:25

²⁶ [My] son, give me thy heart,

Pr 23:26

²⁷ For a strange house is a vessel full of holes;

Pr 23:27

²⁸ For such a one shall perish suddenly;

Pr 23:28

²⁹ Who [has] woe? who trouble? who [has] quarrels?

Pr 23:29

³⁰ Are not those of them that stay long at wine?

Pr 23:30

³¹ For if thou shouldest set thine eyes on bowls and cups,

Pr 23:31

³² But at last [such a one] stretches himself out as one smitten by a serpent,

Pr 23:32

³³ Whenever thine eyes shall behold a strange woman,

Pr 23:33

³⁴ And thou shalt lie as in the midst of the sea,

Pr 23:34

³⁵ And thou shalt say, They smote me, and I was not pained;

Pr 23:35
