¹ For the end, a Psalm of David.

Ps 12:1

² How long shall I take counsel in my soul,

Ps 12:2

³ Look on me, hearken to me, O Lord my God:

Ps 12:3

⁴ Lest at any time mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him:

Ps 12:4

⁵ But I have hoped in thy mercy;

Ps 12:5

⁶ I will sing to the Lord who has dealt bountifully with me,
