Chapter 143

¹ [A Psalm] of David concerning Goliath.

Ps 143:1

² My mercy, and my refuge;

Ps 143:2

³ Lord, what is man, that thou art made known to him?

Ps 143:3

⁴ Man is like to vanity:

Ps 143:4

⁵ O Lord, bow thy heavens, and come down:

Ps 143:5

⁶ Send lightning, and thou shalt scatter them:

Ps 143:6

⁷ Send forth thy hand from on high;

Ps 143:7

⁸ Whose mouth has spoken vanity,

Ps 143:8

⁹ O God, I will sing a new song to thee:

Ps 143:9

¹⁰ [Even] to him who gives salvation to kings:

Ps 143:10

¹¹ Deliver me, and rescue me from the hand of strange children,

Ps 143:11

¹² Whose children are as plants,

Ps 143:12

¹³ Their garners are full,

Ps 143:13

¹⁴ Their oxen are fat:

Ps 143:14

¹⁵ Men bless the people to whom this lot belongs,
