Chapter 144

¹ David’s [Psalm of] praise.

Ps 144:1

² Every day will I bless thee,

Ps 144:2

³ The Lord is great, and greatly to be praised;

Ps 144:3

⁴ Generation after generation shall praise thy works,

Ps 144:4

⁵ And they shall speak of the glorious majesty of thy holiness,

Ps 144:5

⁶ And they shall speak of the power of thy terrible [acts];

Ps 144:6

⁷ They shall utter the memory of the abundance of thy goodness,

Ps 144:7

⁸ The Lord is compassionate, and merciful;

Ps 144:8

⁹ The Lord is good to those that wait [on him];

Ps 144:9

¹⁰ Let all thy works, O Lord, give thanks to thee;

Ps 144:10

¹¹ They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom,

Ps 144:11

¹² To make known to the sons of men thy power,

Ps 144:12

¹³ Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,

Ps 144:13

¹³ a The Lord is faithful in his words,

Ps 144:13

¹⁴ The Lord supports all that are falling,

Ps 144:14

¹⁵ The eyes of all wait upon thee;

Ps 144:15

¹⁶ Thou openest thy hands,

Ps 144:16

¹⁷ The Lord is righteous in all his ways,

Ps 144:17

¹⁸ The Lord is near to all that call upon him,

Ps 144:18

¹⁹ He will perform the desire of them that fear him:

Ps 144:19

²⁰ The Lord preserves all that love him:

Ps 144:20

²¹ My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord:
