Chapter 2

¹ Wherefore did the heathen rage,

Ps 2:1

² The kings of the earth stood up,

Ps 2:2

³ [Saying], Let us break through their bonds,

Ps 2:3

⁴ He that dwells in the heavens shall laugh them to scorn,

Ps 2:4

⁵ Then shall he speak to them in his anger,

Ps 2:5

⁶ But I have been made king by him

Ps 2:6

⁷ Declaring the ordinance of the Lord:

Ps 2:7

⁸ Ask of me, and I will give thee the heathen [for] thine inheritance,

Ps 2:8

⁹ Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron;

Ps 2:9

¹⁰ Now therefore understand, ye kings:

Ps 2:10

¹¹ Serve the Lord with fear,

Ps 2:11

¹² Accept correction, lest at any time the Lord be angry,

Ps 2:12
