¹ A Psalm of David, when he fled from the presence of his son Absalom.

Ps 3:1

² O Lord, why are they that afflict me multiplied?

Ps 3:2

³ Many say concerning my soul,

Ps 3:3

⁴ But thou, O Lord, art my helper:

Ps 3:4

⁵ I cried to the Lord with my voice,

Ps 3:5

⁶ I lay down and slept;

Ps 3:6

⁷ I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people,

Ps 3:7

⁸ Arise, Lord; deliver me, my God:

Ps 3:8

⁹ Deliverance is the Lord’s,
