Chapter 62

Psalms · King David

¹ A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Edom.

Ps 62:1

² O God, my God, I cry to thee early;

Ps 62:2

³ Thus have I appeared before thee in the sanctuary,

Ps 62:3

⁴ For thy mercy is better than life:

Ps 62:4

⁵ Thus will I bless thee during my life:

Ps 62:5

⁶ Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness;

Ps 62:6

⁷ Forasmuch as I have remembered thee on my bed:

Ps 62:7

⁸ For thou hast been my helper,

Ps 62:8

⁹ My soul has kept very close behind thee:

Ps 62:9

¹⁰ But they vainly sought after my soul;

Ps 62:10

¹¹ They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword;

Ps 62:11

¹² But the king shall rejoice in God;
