Chapter 75

¹ For the end, among the Hymns, a Psalm for Asaph; a Song for the Assyrian.

Ps 75:1

² God is known in Judea;

Ps 75:2

³ And his place has been in peace,

Ps 75:3

⁴ There he broke the power of the bows,

Ps 75:4

⁵ Thou dost wonderfully shine forth from the everlasting mountains.

Ps 75:5

⁶ All the simple ones in heart were troubled;

Ps 75:6

⁷ At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob,

Ps 75:7

⁸ Thou art terrible; and who shall withstand thee,

Ps 75:8

⁹ Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven;

Ps 75:9

¹⁰ When God arose to judgment,

Ps 75:10

¹¹ For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to thee:

Ps 75:11

¹² Vow, and pay [your vows] to the Lord our God;

Ps 75:12

¹³ and that takes away the spirits of princes;
