TextA−AA+Bookmarks0← JobChapter 36Job 36:1¹ And Elihu further continued, and said,Job 36:1Job 36:2² Wait for me yet a little while, that I may teach thee:Job 36:2Job 36:3³ Having fetched my knowledge from afar,Job 36:3Job 36:4⁴ I will speak just things truly,Job 36:4Job 36:5⁵ But know that the Lord will not cast off an innocent man:Job 36:5Job 36:6⁶ He will not by any means save alive the ungodly:Job 36:6Job 36:7⁷ He will not turn away his eyes from the righteous,Job 36:7Job 36:8⁸ But they that are bound in fettersJob 36:8Job 36:9⁹ And he shall recount to them their works,Job 36:9Job 36:10¹⁰ But he will hearken to the righteous:Job 36:10Job 36:11¹¹ If they should hear and serve [him],Job 36:11Job 36:12¹² But he preserves not the ungodly; because they are not willing to know the Lord,Job 36:12Job 36:13¹³ And the hypocrites in heart will array wrath [against themselves];Job 36:13Job 36:14¹⁴ Therefore let their soul die in youth,Job 36:14Job 36:15¹⁵ Because they afflicted the weak and helpless:Job 36:15Job 36:16¹⁶ And he has also enticed thee out of the mouth of the enemy:Job 36:16Job 36:17¹⁷ [There is] a deep gulf [and] a rushing stream beneath it,Job 36:17Job 36:18¹⁸ But there shall be wrath upon the ungodly,Job 36:18Job 36:19¹⁹ Let not [thy] mind willingly turn thee asideJob 36:19Job 36:20²⁰ And draw not forth all the mighty [men] by night,Job 36:20Job 36:21²¹ But take heed lest thou do that which is wrong:Job 36:21Job 36:22²² Behold, the Mighty One shall prevail by his strength:Job 36:22Job 36:23²³ And who is he that examines his works?Job 36:23Job 36:24²⁴ Remember that his works are greatJob 36:24Job 36:25²⁵ Every man has seen in himself,Job 36:25Job 36:26²⁶ Behold, the Mighty One is great, and we shall not know [him]:Job 36:26Job 36:27²⁷ And the drops of rain are numbered by him,Job 36:27Job 36:28²⁸ The ancient [heavens] shall flow,Job 36:28Job 36:28²⁸ a He has fixed a time to cattle,Job 36:28Job 36:28²⁸ b [Yet] by all these things thy understanding is not astonished,Job 36:28Job 36:29²⁹ And though one should understand the outspreadings of the clouds,Job 36:29Job 36:30³⁰ Behold he will stretch his bow against him,Job 36:30Job 36:31³¹ For by them he will judge the nations:Job 36:31Job 36:32³² He has hidden the light in [his] hands,Job 36:32Job 36:33³³ The Lord will declare concerning this [to] his friend:Job 36:33← Chapter 35Chapter 37 →
