Chapter 105

Psalms · King David

¹ Alleluia.

Ps 105:1

² Who shall tell the mighty acts of the Lord?

Ps 105:2

³ Blessed are they that keep judgment,

Ps 105:3

⁴ Remember us, O Lord, with the favor [thou hast] to thy people:

Ps 105:4

⁵ That we may behold the good of thine elect,

Ps 105:5

⁶ We have sinned with our fathers,

Ps 105:6

⁷ Our fathers in Egypt understood not thy wonders,

Ps 105:7

⁸ Yet he saved them for his name’s sake,

Ps 105:8

⁹ And he rebuked the Red Sea, and it was dried up:

Ps 105:9

¹⁰ And he saved them out of the hand of them that hated [them],

Ps 105:10

¹¹ The water covered those that oppressed them:

Ps 105:11

¹² Then they believed his words,

Ps 105:12

¹³ They made haste, they forgot his works;

Ps 105:13

¹⁴ And they lusted exceedingly in the wilderness,

Ps 105:14

¹⁵ And he gave them their request,

Ps 105:15

¹⁶ They provoked Moses also in the camp,

Ps 105:16

¹⁷ The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan,

Ps 105:17

¹⁸ And a fire was kindled in their congregation,

Ps 105:18

¹⁹ And they made a calf in Horeb,

Ps 105:19

²⁰ And they changed their glory

Ps 105:20

²¹ They forgot God that saved them,

Ps 105:21

²² Wondrous [works] in the land of Ham,

Ps 105:22

²³ So he said that he would have destroyed them,

Ps 105:23

²⁴ Moreover they set at nought the desirable land,

Ps 105:24

²⁵ And they murmured in their tents:

Ps 105:25

²⁶ So he lifted up his hand against them,

Ps 105:26

²⁷ And to cast down their seed among the nations,

Ps 105:27

²⁸ They were joined also to Baal-peor,

Ps 105:28

²⁹ And destruction was multiplied among them.

Ps 105:29

³⁰ Then Phinehas stood up, and made atonement:

Ps 105:30

³¹ And it was counted to him for righteousness,

Ps 105:31

³² They provoked him also at the water of Strife,

Ps 105:32

³³ For they provoked his spirit,

Ps 105:33

³⁴ They destroyed not the nations which the Lord told them [to destroy];

Ps 105:34

³⁵ But were mingled with the heathen,

Ps 105:35

³⁶ And they served their graven images;

Ps 105:36

³⁷ And they sacrificed their sons

Ps 105:37

³⁸ And shed innocent blood,

Ps 105:38

³⁹ And was polluted with their works;

Ps 105:39

⁴⁰ So the Lord was very angry with his people,

Ps 105:40

⁴¹ And he delivered them into the hands of [their] enemies;

Ps 105:41

⁴² And their enemies oppressed them,

Ps 105:42

⁴³ Many a time he delivered them;

Ps 105:43

⁴⁴ Yet the Lord looked upon their affliction,

Ps 105:44

⁴⁵ And he remembered his covenant,

Ps 105:45

⁴⁶ And he caused them to be pitied

Ps 105:46

⁴⁷ Save us, O Lord our God,

Ps 105:47

⁴⁸ Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting and to everlasting;

Ps 105:48
