Chapter 106

Psalms · King David

¹ Alleluia.

Ps 106:1

² Let them say [so] who have been redeemed by the Lord,

Ps 106:2

³ And gathered them out of the countries,

Ps 106:3

⁴ They wandered in the wilderness in a dry land;

Ps 106:4

⁵ Hungry and thirsty,

Ps 106:5

⁶ Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction,

Ps 106:6

⁷ And he guided them into a straight path,

Ps 106:7

⁸ Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies,

Ps 106:8

⁹ For he satisfies the empty soul,

Ps 106:9

¹⁰ [Even] them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death,

Ps 106:10

¹¹ Because they rebelled against the words of God,

Ps 106:11

¹² So their heart was brought low with troubles;

Ps 106:12

¹³ Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction,

Ps 106:13

¹⁴ And he brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death,

Ps 106:14

¹⁵ Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies,

Ps 106:15

¹⁶ For he broke to pieces the brazen gates,

Ps 106:16

¹⁷ He helped them out of the way of their iniquity;

Ps 106:17

¹⁸ Their soul abhorred all meat;

Ps 106:18

¹⁹ Then they cried to the Lord in their affliction,

Ps 106:19

²⁰ He sent his word, and healed them,

Ps 106:20

²¹ Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies,

Ps 106:21

²² And let them offer to him the sacrifice of praise,

Ps 106:22

²³ They that go down to the sea in ships,

Ps 106:23

²⁴ These [men] have seen the works of the Lord,

Ps 106:24

²⁵ He speaks, and the stormy wind arises,

Ps 106:25

²⁶ They go up to the heavens,

Ps 106:26

²⁷ They are troubled, they stagger as a drunkard,

Ps 106:27

²⁸ Then they cry to the Lord in their affliction,

Ps 106:28

²⁹ And he commands the storm, and it is calmed into a gentle breeze,

Ps 106:29

³⁰ And they are glad, because they are quiet;

Ps 106:30

³¹ Let them acknowledge to the Lord his mercies,

Ps 106:31

³² Let them exalt him in the congregation of the people,

Ps 106:32

³³ He turns rivers into a desert,

Ps 106:38

³⁹ Again they become few, and are brought low,

Ps 106:39

⁴⁰ Contempt is poured upon their princes,
